East Saanich

East Saanich contains a variety of urban landscapes, campuses and waterfront villages including Cadboro Bay, Cordova Bay, Ten Mile Point and Gordon Head, adjacent to the leafy campus of the University of Victoria. Known for the panoramic views from Mount Douglas and numerous beaches, East Saanich provides a superior blend of urban and rural amenities.

There are 170 municipal parks, three regional parks and a cycling network route to see and explore. Saanich has more parks per capita than any other municipality in B.C. There are several excellent golf courses in Saanich: Blenkinsop Valley, Cedar Hill, Cordova Bay and Prospect Lake golf courses.
Saanich's distinct neighbourhoods include the following:

GORDON HEAD, a solidly upper middle class family area with several shopping malls, restaurants and movie theatres within a short driving distance. Home to The  University of Victoria. Such a convenient location 15 minutes to down town 20 minutes to the ferry and airport. A fabulous area to raise your family. Home to Victories' best take out sushi.

TEN MILE POINT, Ten Mile Point is the most easterly point on Vancouver Island. This wooded upper-class area is located east of Cadboro Bay and the University of Victoria. Ten Mile Point is an exclusive, expensive, neighbourhood known for its secluded beaches, private estates and waterfront properties. While Ten Mile Point is located within the urban part of Saanich, its setting has a quiet, rural feel.

BROADMEAD this is a well planned district with an abundance of parks walking trails and tennis courts. It also has imaginative West Coast architecture. Filled with trees and rock it really is a unique area to be enjoyed by nature lovers.

CORDOVA BAY perched along the seaside; a mixture of cottages, small farms, sizable family homes and new subdivisions. It boasts stunning water views and some of Victorias nicest walk out sandy beaches.
